In 2024, our founder spent three months visiting workshops in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt — not as a consultant, but as someone who wanted to understand what actually goes wrong every day.
What he found: brilliant mechanics running their businesses on notebook paper, losing track of jobs, undercharging customers because they forgot to include parts costs, and spending hours every week chasing overdue invoices.
The tools that existed were built for Western markets — expensive, overengineered, and requiring fast internet and large screens. None of them worked for a 6-bay workshop in Surulere with a team of four.
So we built Meckify from scratch. Simple, fast, affordable, and designed for how African workshops actually work. We launched in early 2025 and haven't looked back since.
